RECIPE FOR OATMEAL CHIP COOKIES
Title: Oatmeal Chip Cookies
Category: Chocolate -crackers
Serves: 1

Ingredients:
1.00cUncooked quick-cooking oats
0.75cAll-purpose flour
0.50cPacked brown sugar
0.50tsSalt
0.50tsVanilla extract
0.50cShortening
0.25cSugar
1.00Egg
0.50tsBaking soda
0.50cChopped walnuts
1.00cMini chocolate chips

Instructions:
A combination of two favorite cookies: oatmeal and chocolate chip.
Preheat oven to 375.
In a large bowl, with mixer at medium speed, beat all ingredients except walnuts and chips until well mixed, occasionally scraping bowl.
Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls, 1-inch apart, onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375 for 12 minutes or until lightly browned Immediately remove cookies to wire racks and let cool.
Yield: 3 dozen.
