| 1.00 | | Pound chicken livers, each | | | Half or into fourths | | 3.00 | | Green onions (with tops), sl | | 2.00 | tb | Margarine or butter | | 0.50 | ts | Salt | | 2.00 | md | Cooking apples, each cored | | | And cut into eighths | | 0.25 | c | Packed brown sugar |
Instructions: Chicken Livers with Glazed Apples.
Cook chicken livers and onions in margarine in 10-inch skillet over medium heat about 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until livers are brown.
Sprinkle with salt.
Push to one side of skillet.
Place apples in skillet.
Sprinkle with brown sugar.
Cook uncovered over medium heat about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and glazed.
Serve sauce over livers.
Garnish with sliced green onion tops if desired.
4 SERVINGS; 205 CALORIES PER SERVING.
