| RECIPE FOR GRAPEFRUIT MINT SORBET |
Title: Grapefruit Mint Sorbet Serves: 6
Ingredients:
| 0.50 | c | Sugar | | 1.25 | c | Water | | 2.00 | c | Grapefruit juice | | 2.00 | tb | Fresh mint, chopped | | 2.00 | | Egg whites |
Instructions: In a small saucepan combine sugar and water, heat without boiling until sugar is dissolved.
then bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes, uncovered without stirring.
Cool Add juice and mint.
Pour into a bread pan, cover with foil and freeze until partially set.
In a food processor blend together egg whites and partially set sorbet.
return to pan and freeze at least 12 hours.
Allow pan to sit at room temperature 10 minutes before serving to soften.
Serves 6.
