| RECIPE FOR CALIFORNIA ROAST LAMB |

Ingredients:
| 1.00 | | Leg of lamb | | 2.00 | | Garlic cloves | | 1.00 | ts | Seasoned salt | | 1.00 | ts | Pepper | | 1.00 | ts | Dried oregano | | 2.00 | cn | Tomato sauce (8 oz each) | | 1.00 | c | Water | | | Juice of one lemon | | 4.00 | | Large fresh artichokes, | | | Quartered | | | Fresh lemon slices |
Instructions: Cut slits in lamb; instert garlic.
Rub meat with salt, pepper, and oregano.
Roast at 400 deg.
for 30 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350 and roast an additional hour.
Skim off any fat in pan; pour tomato sauce, water and lemon juice over lamb.
Place artichokes around meat.
Roast 1 hour longer or to desired doneness, basting occasionally with pan juices.
Garnish with lemon slices.
