Ingredients:
| 1.00 | lb | Ground turkey | | 1.00 | | Onion; chopped | | 1.00 | | Celery stalk; thinly sliced | | 1.00 | cl | Garlic; minced | | 1.00 | c | Ketchup | | 1.00 | | Carrot; grated or shredded | | 1.00 | T | Vinegar | | 2.00 | t | Sugar | | 0.50 | t | Thyme leaves; dried | | 0.25 | t | Black pepper | | 0.12 | t | Mustard; dry | | 3.00 | dr | Hot pepper sauce | | 5.00 | | Hamburger buns |
Instructions: In a very large saucepan, combine the turkey, onions, celery and garlic.
Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes, or until the turkey has changed color and the onions are soft.
Add the ketchup, carrots, vinegar, sugar, thyme, pepper, mustard and hot pepper sauce.
Stir to mix well.
Bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce the heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the flavors are well blended.
Serve in the buns.
