| RECIPE FOR TACO SHELLS |

Ingredients:
| 0.75 | c | Yellow cornmeal | | 1.25 | c | Sifted all purpose flour | | 1.00 | T | Salt | | 2.00 | T | Shortening | | 1.00 | c | Boiling water |
Instructions:
In a small mixing bowl mix together cornmeal, flour and salt.
Stir in shortening and boiling water, mix wwell.
Shape to form 12 balls.
Flatten each ball between 2 sheets waxed paper to make a 5 inch circle.
Bake on a hot ungreased griddle until cooked.
Place each one in hot oil about 1 inch deep and fold over with tongs.
fry until crisp.
