| RECIPE FOR BOSTON BAKED BEANS |
Title: Boston Baked Beans Category: Ethnic -vegetarian Serves: 4
Ingredients:
| 4.00 | c | Navy beans | | 3.00 | ts | Salt | | 1.00 | | Onion, chopped | | 4.00 | tb | Brown sugar | | 1.00 | tb | Dry mustard | | 0.50 | lb | Salt pork |
Instructions: Soak beans overnight.
Drain, cover with fresh water.
Bring to boil, simmer until tender, drain.
Pour 1/2 of beans into bean pot.
Combine remaining ingredients and add to pot.
Pour in remaining beans.
Cover with boiling water and bake 8 hours at 250 degrees.
Watch & add more water if necessary.
