RECIPE FOR SAUSAGE CORN BREAD PIE
Title: Sausage Corn Bread Pie
Category: Pork
Serves: 6

Ingredients:
1.00lbFresh pork sausage, removed
-from the casing
1.00cYellow cornmeal
1.00cFlour
0.25cSugar
4.00tsBaking powder
1.00Egg
1.00cMilk

Instructions:
Sausage Corn Bread Pie Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Grease a 9"" pie pan.
Brown sausage in a skillet.
Pour off drippings, reserving 1/4 c.
Sift together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, and baking powder.
Add the egg, milk and reserved drippings.
Mix and fold in the sausage.
Turn batter into pan.
Bake 25 minutes.
I like mine dribbled with pure cane syrup.
Serves 6 MY NOTE: I'll bet you could use vegetable oil instead of the drippings.
It would cut down on the taste, but it would also cut way down on the cholesterol in this recipe.
