| RECIPE FOR RAISIN DROP COOKIES |
Title: Raisin Drop Cookies
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
| 2.00 | c | Raisins | | 1.00 | c | Water | | 1.00 | c | Shortening | | 1.00 | c | Brown sugar | | 1.25 | c | White sugar | | 3.00 | | Eggs (beaten) | | 1.00 | tb | Vanilla | | 1.00 | tb | Baking powder | | 4.00 | c | Flour | | 1.00 | tb | Cinnamon | | 1.00 | tb | Nutmeg | | 1.00 | tb | Soda | | 1.00 | c | Nuts (chopped) |
Instructions:
Boil raisins and water for 5 minutes; cool.
Cream shortening and sugars; add eggs, raisins and vanilla.
Add sifted dry ingredients and nuts; mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400-degrees until done.
Yield: 4 dozen.
