| RECIPE FOR LOW CALORIE IRISH COLCANNON |

Ingredients:
| 1.00 | c | Water | | 1.00 | T | Reduced calorie margarine | | 0.25 | t | Salt | | 3.00 | c | Chopped cabbage | | 0.33 | c | Skim or 1% milk | | 1.00 | c | Instant mashed potato flakes | | 1.00 | | Green onion, finely chopped |
Instructions: 1.
In a medium saucepan, combine water, margarine, and salt.
Bring to boil.
Stir in cabbage; return to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer 4-6 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.

Remove from heat; stir in milk and potato flakes with fork.
Stir in onion.
Cover and let stand 3 minutes.
Each serving contains: 2 breads, 1 vegetable, 1/2 fat Per serving: 220 cal (per half cup)
