| RECIPE FOR KARLA'S PRINCETON CHEESECAKE |
Title: Karla's Princeton Cheesecake Serves: 14
Ingredients:
| 1.50 | c | Chocolate cake crumbs | | 12.00 | oz | Cream cheese, softened | | 2.00 | c | Sugar | | 1.50 | ts | Vanilla | | 6.00 | oz | Chocolate, unsweetened | | 1.00 | ea | Egg | | 1.00 | c | Sour cream | | 6.00 | tb | Orange liquer |
Instructions: Evenly distribute crumbs over bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
Press crumbs down lightly.
In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer, beat together cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
Set aside.
In a small, heavy saucepan, melt chocolate over low heat.
Stir constantly.
Pour melted chocolate all at once into cheese mixture and beat until combined.
Add egg and beat until very smooth, about 5 minutes.
Add sour cream and liqueur and mix until combined.
Pour batter over prepared crust.
Bake in preheated 350 oven for 25-30 minutes or until just set.
Refrigerate overnight before serving.
*****Any kind of chocolate cake crumbs, without frosting can be used.
Any commercially prepared cake isfine.
