| RECIPE FOR CONCORD GRAPE TART |
Title: Concord Grape Tart Serves: 6
Ingredients:
| 2.00 | c | Sifted all--purpose flour | | 0.50 | ts | Salt, 1/4 tsp baking powder, | | | -1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup (1 | | | -stick) butter, | | 4.00 | c | Concord Grapes, 3 tblsps | | | -lemon juice, 2 egg yolks, 1 | | | -cup commercial |
Instructions: Concord Grape Tart sour cream.

Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and 2 tblsps of the sugar.
Pinch in butter with your finger tips until it appears mealy.
Lift into an8 inch square baking pan and press an even layer on bottom and about 2/3 of the way up the sides.
Refrigerate till filling is prepared.
Pinch off grape skins (good luck!) and seperate pulp from skins.
Cook pulp over a low heat for 7 minutes.
Remove from heat and work thoroughly through a sieve (this is an easy way to remove the seeds).
Combine pulp puree with grape skins, flour, remaining sugar and lemon juice.
Pour into prepared pastry and bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
Mix egg yolks and sour cream together, then pour over the surface and continue baking 25 to 30 minutes.
Serve at room temperature.
Serves 6.
