| RECIPE FOR CHERRY-WINE SOUP |
Title: Cherry-Wine Soup Serves: 6
Ingredients:
| 1.00 | oz | Can pitted tart red cherries | | 1.50 | c | Water | | 0.50 | c | Sugar | | 1.00 | tb | Quick-cooking tapioca | | 0.12 | ts | Ground cloves | | 0.50 | c | Dry red wine |
Instructions: In 1 1/2-quart saucepan stir together undrained cherries, water, sugar, tapioca, and cloves.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Bring to boiling.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat; stir in wine.
Cover and chill, stirring occasionally.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
