| RECIPE FOR BAKED CHOCOLATE CUSTARD |

Ingredients:
| 2.00 | c | Milk | | 0.50 | c | Semisweet chocolate pieces | | 3.00 | | Slightly beaten eggs | | 0.25 | c | Sugar | | 1.00 | ts | Vanilla | | 0.12 | ts | Salt |
Instructions: In heavy saucepan cook and stir milk and chocolate over low heat till chocolate melts; cool slightly.
Mix eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt; gradually stir in chocolate mixture.
Beat just till chocolate is blended.
Place six 6-ounce custard cups in 13x9x2-inch pan on oven rack.
Divide custard among cups.
Pour hot water into pan to depth of 1 inch.
Bake in 325 degree oven for 40-45 minutes or till knife inserted near center comes out clean.
Chill.
Invert into serving dishes (a chocolate layer will form).
Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
Serves 6
