Ingredients:
| 2.00 | | Squares unsweetened | | | -chocolate | | 0.50 | c | Butter | | 0.50 | c | Sweetened applesauce | | 2.00 | | Eggs, beaten | | 1.00 | c | Brown sugar, firmly packed | | 1.00 | ts | Vanilla | | 1.00 | c | Sifted flour | | 0.50 | ts | Baking powder | | 0.25 | ts | Baking soda | | 0.25 | ts | Salt | | 0.50 | c | Choped walnuts |
Instructions:
Melt chcocolate and butter together.
Mix applesauce, eggs, sugar and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients into applesauce mixture.
Stir until blended; add chocolate and stir well.
Pour into greased 9 inch square pan.
Sprinkle with walnuts.
Bake in 350F.
oven for 30 minutes.
Cut in 2 inch squares; cool in pan on racks.
Makes 16.
