| RECIPE FOR ANN HOWARD'S FAMOUS APRICOT GELATO SUNDAE |
Title: Ann Howard's Famous Apricot Gelato Sundae Serves: 6
Ingredients:
| 2.50 | c | High quality apricot | | | -preserves | | 0.25 | c | Lemon juice | | 1.00 | tb | Grated lemon rind | | 1.00 | c | Grand Marnier | | 1.00 | | Nutmeg | | 3.00 | tb | Confectioner's sugar | | 1.00 | c | Water |
Instructions: Place 3 tbs apricot sauce in 13 oz stemmed wine class.
Add 2 scoops of apricot gelato.
Add more apricot sauce, making sure sauce gets down sides of gelato scoops.
Split 3 apricot halves, which have been dipped in Grand Marnier.
Artfully hang over sides of glass.
Drizzle all with more sauce.
Garnish with fresh mint and toasted almonds.
Place doily on round glass plate.
Serve with tiny lemon bar.
Serves one.
Apricot sauce Combine all in heavy bottom saucepan.
Heat and cook over medium heat.
Stir with wooden spoon.
Rub sauce through fine sieve.
